Your starter for ten…

Amidst the chaos of the last couple of days in London and across the UK it’s reassuring to know that a sense of sanity and calm remained on BBC Two.

Monday’s edition of the institution that is University Challenge featured Christ Church Oxford taking on the University of Bath for a place in the second round. As we played along at home, getting all the questions correct of course, we were told:

Your going to see a postage stamp issued by the Royal Mail in 2009. For ten points name the figure depicted on the stamp.

Never has there been an easier question for all of us at W&W because the stamp that popped up was none other than Josiah Wedgwood from our Pioneers of the Industrial Revolution set. Host Jeremy Paxman then went on to ask Christ Church to name the three other pioneers pictured.

In the spirit of the show the first person to email the correct names of the pioneers in the images here (not Wedgwood of course we gave you that one!) to design@webbandwebb.co.uk will get a little prize!
